Earth Day Event —Trash to Treasure

Come celebrate Earth Day Wednesday April 22* from 5:00-7:00pm.

UNC students  are competing for a grant of $800 by turning trash into functional art treasures.  Artists from Madison and Main will be judging the artwork.  The winner of the $800 grant must give an art lesson to the Boys and Girls Club encouraging creativity and sustainability.  Boys and Girls club will be showing their current artwork demonstrating creativity and sustainability.  Also see the video of  “The Story of Stuff.”  Trash to Treasure Invite

When: *April 22, 23, 24th from 5:00-7:00 and Saturday  *April 25, from 10:00-1:00.  The opening of the show is Wednesday.  On this day the video of the Story of Stuff will be shown.  Other days, come and view the artwork.

Our resources are limited.  Come see how creativity can reduce trash and extend the useful life of objects.  Let thrift, stewardship, and resourcefulness return to our culture.
